How to Play Teen Patti

Objective

The goal is to have the best three-card hand or bluff your opponents into folding, winning the pot (the total bets placed).

Game Setup

• Players: 2-6 players per table.
• Deck: Uses a standard 52-card deck without jokers.
• Boot: Each player places an initial bet (boot) into the pot before cards are dealt.
• Deal: Each player is dealt three cards face-down.

Hand Rankings (Highest to Lowest)

• Trail (Three of a Kind): Three cards of the same rank (e.g., 7♠-7♥-7♣).
• Pure Sequence: Three consecutive cards of the same suit (e.g., 4♥-5♥-6♥).
• Sequence: Three consecutive cards of different suits (e.g., 9♠-10♥-J♣).
• Color: Three cards of the same suit, not consecutive (e.g., 2♥-8♥-K♥).
• Pair: Two cards of the same rank (e.g., Q♠-Q♦-5♣).
• High Card: Three unrelated cards; highest card determines rank (e.g., A♠-9♥-3♣).

Gameplay

1. Players decide to play blind (without seeing cards) or seen (after seeing cards).
2. Each turn, players bet or fold:
   • Blind: Bet at least the current stake (minimum boot).
   • Seen: Bet at least twice the current stake.
   • Chaalu: Increase the stake by raising the bet.
   • Fold: Discard cards and forfeit the pot.
3. The game continues until:
   • All but one player folds (winner takes the pot).
   • Two players remain, and one requests a show (hands are compared).
4. In a show, the better hand wins the pot. If only blind players remain, one must see their cards for a show.

Betting Limits

• Minimum Stake: Equal to the boot amount.
• Maximum Stake: Determined by table rules (e.g., pot limit or fixed limit).
• Side Show: Seen players can request a side show (compare hands with the previous bettor); the weaker hand folds.
